For example, going to a job interview or giving a speech on the first day of school may cause some people to feel fearful and nervous. But if your feelings of anxiety are extreme, last for at least 6 months, and are interfering with your life, you may have an anxiety disorder. #medita...

It must horrible to fear that change of sexuality. I have allways been on asexual spectrum. I used to identify as demisexual and bisexual, but I am now identify as asexual (aegosexual and adexsexual to be specific) and demiromantic and biromantic/panromantic, so I experiencing my sexuality have changed abit, but it was that much. I didnt fear that change, even if I start to feel sexual attractions I will not fear it, then it will just become a part of me, just like asexuality is part of me now. If you have those fears, I hope you will seek help from a psychologist or a psychiatrist.

I wish to every homosexual, that he /she finds a loving same sex partner, marries and maybe raises kids in responsibility. Homosexuality is a healthy natural sexual orientation with an evolutionary meaning. If it was caused by psychological influences, it could be changed to heterosexual in a therapy, but it cant. Thats what we know for sure. So its innate. Why did it come up in evolution? There is a permanent share of 90-96% heterosexuals and 4-10% share of homosexuals in all living beings with sexuality since 385 million years. The reason is the evolutionary advance through several factors, for example: Same-sex sexuality evolved by natural selection because it created or strengthened male-male alliances and female-female alliances and mutual social benefit to all the animals in the tribe, better survive better defense, better social interaction. There are interesting studies about it.

Seriously, seriously appreciate the insight into how friends can have flawed, skewed perspectives on relationships. I have a friend couple who got divorced and some of us heard different things and came to different conclusions, so I'm surprised to find that I actually feel a little validated and like some burden is being removed by hearing Stephanie say that. One of the people in this couple seeks out my friend group a lot to vent and get feedback, and it often feels awkward or frustrating or dishonest or just difficult, like the relationship is being put in some of our hands to make or break, instead of a place where we can help our friend be honest with themselves or their ex and see things from a more wholistic lens. I'm struggling with the line of helping the one ex who seems to need a place to vent, validate them, while also trying to be honest and fair with both and acknowledge that I don't have the ability to help - I'm not a therapist and don't really _know_ their relationship. That's a burden I didn't fully identify I was carrying, even though i've been feeling frustrated with the situation. It's nice to feel validation that I _don't_ necessarily have the answers it can feel like the one friend is looking for, and have a therapist say asking friends may not be the most productive route (removing my burden of feeling like I need to give these friends productive feedback). Who knew I'd get therapy from hearing Stephanie talk about therapy 😭😭🥲

I see you get into it a bit later but yes! The yellow and maroon couple had me in tears almost every scene. I love how they modeled caring for one another in the midst of a difficult, emotional conversation, even if the woman in maroon wasn't sure if (she) wanted to salvage her relationship with her wife. I love Stephanie's insights throughout this too - she's so so insightful and thoughtful and brings such a level of expertise to these videos.

I know of a woman her house is infested with mice. Some got into a drawer full of clothes she took out 1 blouse and said I want to mend these clothes. Mice are coming out from the ceiling into a light fixture. Her stove refrigerator microwave food shelves and cupboards all mice infested. She was making cookies opened up a package of dates sliced them open only to find cream colored worms she scooped them out with a small knife cut up the dates and made cookies. She treats her husband like crap. Married 40+ years he is so beat down.....she is a narc in my opinion

I just went through something similar. I found peace with forgiving my father in my own way in my own time while protecting myself and maintaining minimal contact. His abuse continued until the day he died and i was able to love and care about him from afar while protecting myself. Forgiveness is needed for the harmed to be healed but for me it didn't require a healed relationship. I accepted and understood that our relationship would likely never be healed. And it never was. But i understood that my father loved me in his own way, despite his own brokenness. And i was grateful for it.

There must be some reason why I feel self deprecating when I do that and no religiosity is involved. There has to be a reason other than religion why masturbation and many societies has always been frowned upon. People used to get themselves circumcised because they thought it would reduce the chances of wanting to masturbate. These are questions that need real answers.

Why is she whining about having to adapt to the western culture? Show me a country in the world where you don’t have to know the culture in order to be accepted. Will I be seen as Chinese in China if I have no clue about their culture, traditions, and language? Never in a billion years. Actually, if I’m white, those things won’t even matter in China. They’ll forever see me as a foreigner just because I don’t have the proper eye shape, lol. And then they complain about culture, when they discriminate you for your GENES.

I find it super ironic how this Chinese woman complains about the lack of inclusivity in the US. Meanwhile East Asia, China included, is famous for being chauvinistic and exclusive. If you’re white, you can forget about being accepted as Chinese. You can know the language perfectly, know their culture deeply, even change your name to a Chinese one. But as soon as they glimpse at you, they’ll put you in the “outsider” category because you don’t have the proper eye shape. So all your effort will be futile, even if you were born there. And then these people come to America, which is ten billion miles ahead of their ethnic motherland in terms of inclusivity, and whine about how oppressive it is. The audacity is astonishing. And they also shit on white people, even though it’s white majority countries are the ones who spread the idea of inclusivity around the world, not east Asia or Africa.
